About The Element

The journey of our magazine...

The Element was originally an idea because there was a lack of representation artistically and creatively within Kent State's magazines. Thus, The Element was created because we wanted a magazine that focused on things that we not only loved: fashion, art, and creative direction, but we wanted a magazine that was for everyone and gave people an opportunity to see themselves in a modern way that correlates with this time period and demonstrates to others that many of the ideas and trends that are adored, were started by minorities and minorities continue to be the pioneers in every facet of art and fashion moving forward.
